Back before the pandemic began a friend of mine told me that his favorite Bible verse from 1 Timothy. I know that Paul offered much wisdom in all of his letters but truthfully I had never closely examined this one in specific. I searched the mountains I love and found this spot to symbolically represent 1 Timothy 6:6 “but Godliness with contentment is great gain.” I hope you will search this image for the scriptural meaning that was intended. Praise God.
I am a man who loves the Lord, my wife and art in that order. I find that there is not enough of me to get done all of the things I find important. I am learning to ease into things instead of jumping before I consider what the outcome will be. I try to see the glass and not to worry about how full or empty it is. Loss in life has lead me to be thankful for what I have and not to be a whiner. God has provided more than is equitable considering how often I fail Him. I find that loving is more valuable than being loved. Art is and has always been the thread in my life that ties everything else together. I long for the day...
